Monday, August 10th, 2020: Jesús Castaneda went on a week-long hitting spree against California League pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors.
The Modesto left fielder battered the opposition for 6 hits, 4 home runs, 7 runs batted in and scored 6 runs. He hit .500 and posted a .647 on-base percentage.
Batting .244 to date, Castaneda has 8 home runs and 21 RBIs. |

Monday, August 3rd, 2020: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the California League, but last week Joe Lane of the Stockton Ports reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Lane rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (15-30), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award.
This season-to-date Lane has 4 home runs and a .389 batting average. |
