Monday, August 10th, 2020: The International League made it official today: Joe Cornett is the Player of the Week.
He really stood out on the diamond this week with a .545 average to take home the award. The Buffalo first baseman went 12-22, drove in 10 runs, scored 7 times and hit 3 home runs.
Looking at his season stats, Cornett has compiled a .282 batting average and a .341 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 44 runs. |
 | Bulls Muńóz Suffers Setback
Friday, August 7th, 2020: Alejandro Muńóz, right fielder for the Durham Bulls, was making great progress in healing a tender elbow according to a team spokesman, but then he suffered a setback yesterday. "Alejandro was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 5 days before he will be able to rejoin the club."
This year Muńóz is hitting at a .138 pace with 1 home run and 4 RBIs. He has played in 10 games and scored 3 times. |
