"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Suzuki. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Tar Heels star told reporters.
Suzuki excelled with an impressive 8-1 record in 12 starts. In 73.1 innings he yielded 51 hits and 27 walks, while striking out 112 and compiling a fine 2.09 ERA. | |
